Beach Session!

 This family was perfect from my first beach session here in Seattle!  Such cute kiddos and beautiful parents to boot!

 

Settled in Seattle!

         Well we are finally settled here in Seattle, and what a beautiful place to be!  I am in the process of opening the studio again as well as working as an office manager for an awesome alternative medicine office!  The girls are getting huge..Jenna is in her first year of Kindergarten and Morgan is now in first grade, going to be in second next year!  It happens WAY too fast...seems like yesterday that they were just babies and I was shooting all of their little tiny parts!

I have done a few sessions which I will show here and promise to keep you updated on the happenings!

Here is a photo shoot of the girls from a few weeks ago, headed downtown Seattle and went nuts, it was way fun and they are getting even more photogenic, meaning they actually LIKE me taking their pics!  Enjoy!

 

PRECIOUS PORTRAITS SHUTTING DOORS

It is with great regret that I inform you all that Precious Portraits in Casper will be shutting down by months end.  For this reason, I ask that anyone who has unfinished business with me (paid for the slideshow) and have NOT ordered their photos to pls do so as soon as possible.  I will not leave here with any unfinished business but I must have you contact me as soon as you can so I can get you taken care of before I leave.  I will be doing my best to contact many of you this week as well as all of my current baby planners.  I have some options for you to all own your own proofs and will put some information concerning that on here early this week.  Please do your best to get your orders to me as soon as possible..as you know, moving is a lot of work and I just want to make sure I get everything I need to get done. 

My plan at this time is to find a job and work the studio part time until I can get my name out and then open the studio up again at that location.  My studio telephone will no longer be working so pls use the work cell which is (307)251-0038 if you need to get in touch with me.  If I do not answer right away, pls leave a msg and I will call you back as soon as possible.

Website and High School Senior Website!

I'm so excited to let you all know that there is currently a senior website being built - I am LOVING seniors so I want to really start focusing and be ready for all my new seniors coming up!  If you are a senior who has had a session with me expect to see you and your friends - I can't wait for it to get put up :)

As well as a senior area of my website, very soon you will see a complete revamp of the current site..so get excited and keep checking..I can't wait!  I will also be putting into affect a new web ordering system that you will all LOVE...all those relatives in different states will be able to have a part in the ordering session :)  I'm working hard to get everything organized and ready for Christmas..wait till you see what I have planned...more information soon to come :)

WAVES WEB DESIGN is creating it for me and I can't wait to see what they come up with..they are awesome to work with.

Newborns...

I have had a rush of newborns lately and what fun have they been.  Yes, they pee yes they poop and mom and dad get soaked much of the time, but what great photos we have of their tinyness.  I just wanted to give an idea of what to expect from a newborn session so those of you who are in my maternity/newborn plan can go ahead and plan for this session.  First of all, my newborn sessions usually last about from an hour to an hour and a half (hence the higher session fee) due to feedings and the like.  I shoot all newborns naked and prefer that mom and dad wear black or dark clothing.  I ask that you take off all jewelry with the exception of wedding rings.  I can't tell you how many times I have had to photoshop a belt out of the picture..so pls..remember to dress accordingly :)  I love for siblings to be involved in this session as much as possible because it will make them feel needed and because I love to capture those first pictures with the older brother or sister.  The apprehension on their faces when baby comes along shows and it's really a neat process to see that apprehension lessen over the sessions.  I do suggest that you bring an additonal change of clothes due to accidents and just be ready to jump in so we can get those great shots that you will love for years to come.  I offer some fabulous baby announcements and am just beginning to offer even more types for you.  Below you will see some of the ones I have done.  Remember though, anything you can dream up, I can do..so throw something at me and I will see what I can come up with for ya.  :)

FAMILIES..

Ok, so I have learned that there are many people that before setting an appointment with me check my blog to find out more about me and what to expect from their session.  I am going to post this family session that took place a week or two ago and it really helps let you know what to expect from a session at my studio.  FIRST THING...you are going to have an awesome time with your family..I will start with a traditional family pose and then litterally you just "play".  Your session might seem like it was complete chaos the entire time but please trust that the pictures will not portray that at all.  I love families and I love capturing the emotion and interaction between all of you..in fact I LIVE for it..so your gonna think I am crazy sometimes because I'm telling you to turn around and face the background...and it might seem as though I am shooting your backs..and well, I am but the picture below will give you an idea of "why" that is.  LOL.  The family here wore all white and jeans...I LOVE THIS...you can't go wrong with that clothing choice as it's very crisp and clean looking..especially on the white background.  I MUCH prefer casual to dress up foo foo anyday..I want to capture the "real" you and I believe that is best done in a casual atmosphere.

A session with me is relax, laid back and very very fun..so no more stressing about getting that perfect shot, no more stressing about everyone looking perfect...lets just relax, have fun and get you some fabulous pictures that you can cherish forever.  At the majority of my sessions, the kids never wanna leave because we are having a blast playing tag or ball and having a great time playing with mom and dad.  Dads, I realize this is normally a very stressful event for you as well and I promise you will also have a great time..what could be more fun then having a relax, stress time playing with your kids!  Can't beat that!  I hope you will also remember when deciding whether or not to be involved in your pictures or just think you want the kids by themselves..remember, these aren't for you..they are for you kids..who will love and cherish any photo they have of you together..there is no such thing in too fat, too skinny, hair isn't done right...and the list goes on....they love you for who you are.  I look back and have very very few photos of us together - what I would give to have some..even if just a few.

How lucky am I to be able to meet all of these amazing seniors?  I knew from the minute I met this girl at the Womens Expo I just had to get her in to take her pics...I just think she's so beautiful in the inside and outside.  Thank you Britt for choosing me :)
